In 2002, IWC came out with Ref. 5002, a bold 46.2mm Big Pilot’s watch that was based on the original WWII era military-issued timepiece. This year, IWC has launched Big Pilot 43mm, a modern and more wearable homage to the Ref. 5002. We are excited to have this watch on the cover of our Summer issue, with an in-depth story by our resident pilot watch expert, Bhanu Chopra.
