As we are now more than midway through the year, it seems time to take stock and look at The Shape of Things to come. We have themed our feature stories accordingly – check out our retrospective on the shaped watches that have captured our imagination for the past 100 years; the rise of the integrated bracelet sports watch; and last but not least, the issue of sustainability in the watch industry as industry leaders look to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Elsewhere in this issue, Revolution founder Wei Koh shines the spotlight on  Bvlgari’s stunning record-breaking Octo Finissimo collection, with special attention on this year’s gorgeous Perpetual Calendar. He also shares the heart-wrenching story of the Lange family and the incredible journey of Walter Lange and Günter Blümlein in reviving the Lange brand; as well as celebrate the fantastic Richard Mille — the man and the brand —on a very special 20^th anniversary.  Barbara Palumbo, as part of her continuing Women Watch Collectors series, interviews Hind Seddiqi, a well-known collector from the UAE with panache to buck the trend, while Neha S. Bajpai reports on unicorn watches that millennial collectors are bidding on at major auction houses.
